The Provincial Owner-Controlled Construction Insurance Program (OCIP) provides Course of Construction (property) and Wrap Up General Liability Coverage for public sector construction projects.  The program encompasses most B.C. government ministries, health care agencies, K-12 public school districts and public post-secondary institutions.

The OCIP covers most construction works undertaken at institution premises, including new buildings, renovations and upgrading.  Certain projects require that the contractor arrange and maintain the coverage.   The requirement to insure depends upon the construction value of the project (not including design) and the nature of the work carried out.  Further details are available below.
